DateLine pour Mac

Was running DateLine on a MacBook Pro with El Capitan. Just switched to a new machine running Mojave and brought DateLine across via the Migration Assistant. It opened and is running as per usual. So perhaps not dead as reported 18 months ago. Needless to say, I'm delighted. There's no other desktop calendar app that looks and works quite like this one. I don't need a replica of my regular calendar app (BusyCal) on my desktop, I just want that discreet, linear view across the bottom of my screen when I want to consult a visual calendar. (I rarely use the click-to-see-what's-on today function, although that's nice too.)

Uuuh, seems to be dead. Does not work with MacOS High Sierra! Too bad, miss you...

Dateline used to be one of my favorite little utilities. So easy to just hover over a date to take a quick look at what was on schedule for the day - and next few days. I stuck with Snow Leopard for much longer than I should have due to other software that was incompatible with newer releases. When I finally upgraded to Mavericks, I was really disappointed that the “hover” would no longer work for Dateline. The only way I can get the popup is by using the Shift-Command-M to bring Dateline to the front. I have V1.4 and see that V1.4.1 notes that it "Removed Desktop Icons window level as it is incompatible with changes to the windowing system in Lion.” I’m not sure if that also solves the issue that I’m having? Still, I’m hesitant to pay another $5 for something that hasn’t been updated in three years (and three OS versions - Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite).

Nice app but there seems not to be any active development anymore. Developer was developing a version 2 but it seems that this version isn't sure also. No bugfixes (last update 13-08-2011) and the app is still not compatible with Busycal because it doesn't sync without opening iCal first. That's too much of a hassle and not the reason why I switched to busycal. It does give a sync warning when choosing busycal as standard, but it really makes the app worthless for busycal users Since this is a paid app, a bugfix would be appropiate so now and then... Useable for iCal users, though...

Latest version requires Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, and costs $5.99 at Mac App Store
